Interactive dashboard for a better home hospitalisation service

Home hospitalisation services offer an alternative to traditional hospitalization for patients in the acute phase of the illness. Active in Piedmont, Italy, since 1985 at the AO CSST, it is dedicated to patients with Geriatric and Metabolic Bone Diseases.

As Senior UX designer, I lead the design team of Experientia designing a digital platform to facilitate the visit planning of the healthcare staff to the patients' home, improves communication between staff, patients and caregivers, manages contingencies, and better use of resources.

Listen and understand

The research team of Experientia conducted interviews and task analysis within the OAD of Molinette and Cresla of Novara. The research phase gave important insights and requirements to start the design phase. Case studies of best practices of global services, digital platforms, information structure, and visual design were performed.

Deliverables

Co-ideation and Model

From the analysis, pain-points and opportunities emerged. The ideation phase started leading to the concept of a digital platform. The concept has been designed, starting from analyzing and evaluating task flows, user journeys as well as creating a detailed service blueprint.

Design and prototype

Starting from hi-fi wireframes screens of the digital platform, our design team created a UI design system and developed a click-through prototype, iterated based on initial expert feedback.
